Hot Shot Series Official Rules

Register your number.
Request top your top 3 number choices when you apply to the league on the link below.
Numbers expire at the drop of the ball on New Year's 2023.

SECTION 1: DISCORD

Section 1.1 | Discord is our method of voice chat. Professionally conduct yourselves. 
Section 1.2 | TELEVISED EVENTS DISCORD IS REQUIRED.
Section 1.3 | Please keep chat to a minimum when admins conduct league business. 


SECTION 2: POINT FORMAT

Section 2.1 | 150, 146, 144, 142, -2 per position.

SECTION 3: PROVISIONAL:

Section 3.1 | Last place points for race missed. 1 per Season.

SECTION 4: INCIDENTS

Section 4.1 | If you feel you caused the incident, please request an EOLL penalty.
Section 4.2 | If you are unsure if you were the cause, let us know if you were involved, via voice or text in the game.
Section 4.3 | Incidents with no claim will be reviewed and a 10 Point Penalty will be applied post-race.

SECTION 5: LAST LAP INCIDENTS

Section 5.1 | Please request a review if we do not catch any incident.
Section 5.2 | The offending driver will get a 10 Point Penalty. Be careful, many times the offended person was found at fault in some cases.

SECTION 6: STARTS/RESTARTS

Section 6:1 | Green flag controls all starts.
Section 6.2 | Passing allowed via iRacing rules.
Section 6.3 | Aggresive restarts, pushing through or passing several rows before the flag man stand are prohibited. This includes laying back to get a run on the field, etc.
Section 6.4 | Dirt series restarts are determined by the leader out of 4 or when green is displayed.

SECTION 7: DRIVER NUMBERS

Section 7.1 | All drivers must race with their registered number.
Section 7.2 | Using a number you are not registered with or assigned to, will result in a -5 point penalty per offense.
Section 7.3 | If you have a duplicate number such as 014, or 14, you can use the same number.
Section 7.4 | Duplicate numbers, one driver should add a letter on the paint to help differentiate between the two.

SECTION 8: TELEVISED EVENTS

Section 8.1 | All drivers must race with their registered number to help announcers find drivers in the broadcast.
Section 8.2 | If you do not have your registered number, you will be ejected, with no exceptions.

SECTION 9: CONDUCT

Section 9.1 | We will not tolerate the toxic iRacing environment you see in public. 
Section 9.2 | Do not call each other out, penalties will be applied. 
Section 9.3 | Retaliation during green racing is not allowed.
Section 9.4 | Retaliation, showing displeasure, or any other abuse of drivers is highly frowned upon.

SECTION 10: WAVE AROUND

Section 10.1 All cars will be eligible for one wave per caution if lapped.

SECTION 11: BLACK FLAGS

Section 11.1 | We will clear speeding in pits penalties.
Section 11.2 | We will clear most penalties, except for passing low on restarts.

SECTION 12: CAUTIONS

Section 12.1 | iRacing will determine all cautions.
Section 12.2 | Admins will throw cautions only for admin purposes. (iracing fails)
Section 12.3 | We will not advance cautions unless no drivers remain in the pits.
Section 12.4 | Work area extensions for towing or repair will be given until the race's halfway point.
Section 12.5 | After 3 cautions, the admin team reserves the right to switch to single file restarts.

SECTION 13: GWC

Section 13.1 | Any race where time expires and GWC is turned on. If time expires the race will be scored, we will score the event at the expired time last completed lap. The lap before the caution occurs.
